By installing, enabling, or using the Smooth GPT browser extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

Smooth GPT is a browser extension that optimises performance on ChatGPT (chatgpt.com / chat.openai.com) by reducing DOM node count, applying CSS containment, and optionally trimming older messages from the API response before they are rendered.

All processing happens locally in your browser. The extension does not modify data sent to or received from OpenAI's servers — it only changes how content is rendered in your browser tab.

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Extension will work correctly with all versions of ChatGPT, as the underlying web application may change at any time without notice.

Kozilabs and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Extension — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of conversations, or loss of profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Use of this Extension is entirely at your own risk.

Smooth GPT interacts with ChatGPT, a third-party service operated by OpenAI. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI. Use of ChatGPT is subject to OpenAI's own terms of service and privacy policy.

You may not use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these terms. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension except as permitted under the MIT licence.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Smooth GPT operates entirely within your browser. It does not transmit, log, store remotely, or share any information about you, your conversations, your browsing activity, or your ChatGPT usage.

We have no servers receiving data from the extension. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no tracking of any kind.

Settings such as API trim depth and aggressive pruning preference are stored locally in your browser's localStorage on the ChatGPT domain. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to Kozilabs or any third party.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for chatgpt.com.

The extension requests scripting and tabs permissions, and host access to chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com. These are used solely to inject the performance optimisation scripts. No data from these permissions is collected or transmitted.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
